Off The Record by Sawyer
Release date: June 11, 2013 by Big Dog Books
Contemporary romance New Adult
Ever Montgomery suffered the ultimate betrayal by the one man who she should have been able to count on for anything. It has left her hurt, jaded and incapable of forming relationships, but it also means that she can spot a liar a mile away. These traits are earning her a reputation as a reporter with a keen nose for a good story and a complete understanding of the extreme power of the written word.
Lincoln Caldwell, is the hot goalie for the New York Rangers. At twenty-four and a rising star, he works hard and he plays even harder. He’s gorgeous and carefree—the ultimate charmer. Ladies fall at his feet and the single life has never been lived the way Linc Caldwell does it.
When Ever publishes an article about Linc containing information that she received off the record, she finds herself on the receiving end of the athelete’s fury. Rather than basking in the glory of exposing Linc as a shameless user of women, she finds herself at his mercy when he demands and receives retribution. Required by her editor to trail Linc for six weeks, Ever is forced to look at the real Linc Caldwell.
And she just might find that she has misjudged him.
"...when things happen that we don't expect, and when situations seem crazy and out of control, sometimes you need to just sit back and enjoy the experience. Some of life's greatest lessons will come from those times."
OH. MY. WORD. I am soooooo in love with this series. Ms. Sawyer is a true talent. Once I finally had my hands on this gem. I had to read it immediately. I stayed up waaaayyy past my bedtime. Honestly I was up until 1 in the morning reading. My alarm goes off at 5. I even received a few evil eyes from my hubby because he could see the light from my e-reader.
Off the Record is told through a dual POV, which I believe I've said plenty of times I love so much

The way the story unfolded. Everything felt so real. At times I found myself actually talking to my e-reader. Like a crazy lady. Every character was relatable which made reading Off The Record more enjoyable. While Ryan and Danny were mentioned we didn't get much interaction from them, but Nix and Emily made up for that. The closeness of everyone reminds me of a real family.
Ever Montgomery has been hurt and broken by the men in her past that she loved. Now she has a wall around her heart and an extremely low tolerance for misunderstandings. It was a little touch and go with Ever for me because of her mistrust towards people she came off like a Bi-yah-itch, but as things progressed she grew on me. Eventually I understood where she was coming from.
For the record I'm not a hockey fan, but Linc Caldwell could quickly change that. Words cannot fathom how much I love this man. He's sexy, generious , gentle, but at the same time he's not a push over. Overall he's just mmmm mmmm mmmm goodness.
The attraction these two have for each other is more than hot!!! A few times I found myself getting butterflies. I could not get enough of these two. Linc knew exactly what Ever needed in her whole and was more than willing to give it to her. I felt like the kid in the AT&T " I wanted more and more but there isn't anymore".
