Fitness Friday #5

I am NOT going to lie, I suck. Majorly. For some reason I will start strong on whatever adventure/ journey I begin, but at some point I allow life and myself get in the way. That’s when things fall apart. I will admit I did have a few valid obstacles come up that prevented my workout like going to college visits for the kids and since we have to travel that morning time is NOT on my side.
My current workout situation is as follows in the morning I will warm up consistent in of a morning turbo by workout labs, followed by 1 of 4 Tabata routines, not sure  why I like these so much. Then on to little black dress challenge by 30 day challenge, while this is 3 days on 1 day rest as the days progress it's challenging. Afterwards my real workout starts with Level 2 of the Buttbible hosted by Paula Norden sadly her voice still annoys me. Oh I forgot before this I'm also doing Befit 30 day Buttlift again while most of the videos are only 10 mins you work the entire time.

My afternoon workout is not going so well basically due to life happening. Kids sports, teacher conferences, not to mention I’ve been getting these headaches in the afternoon towards the ends of work and the normal OTC stuff is NOT easing the pain. I probably should get that checked out . When I do get to workout I’ve been following Blogilates monthly workout calendar and it hurts. Alot and there’s no equipment either. I’ve never realize how heavy my leg was. I will admit her daily workouts consist of 5 or so workout everything is about 1hr long and sometimes ( I mean most of the time) I do not have the endurance to do them all. I guess I’m still ok with that I’m still working on my progress.

Going forward my new goal is just to keep going and not allow myself to make excuses. I just need to continue to be a better me. One thing I will say I am starting to feel more comfortable in my skin, its not 100% or even 50,but its getting there as I progress

Book Review: Beautifully Broken - Portia Moore

Beautifully Broken - Portia Moore
Published: Feb. 28, 2015
Series: Before I Break # 3
Genre: Contemporary, Romance, New Adult, Erotic
Kindle pg: 218
Kindle  * B&N * Goodeads

The conclusion to the If I Break Series.

Cal’s back and his arrival changes everything.

Lauren knew it was coming but what she didn’t think he’d bring with him was an ultimatum.

A choice.

One that Lauren feels trapped under. A choice she’s unsure will make a difference but could possibly change everything.

The ultimatum isn’t the only thing Cal’s got with him but answers. The ones Lauren so desperately craves. But the truth won’t only affect the lives of he and Lauren but everyone around them…and not everyone wants the truth to come out.

The good thing is Cal doesn’t give a F…

…There's two sides to every story. In this one there’s three.

Soo are we just going to ignore the fact someone new was introduced at  end of a series. I need more. Closure, heck even a few more pages to get more detail about this new person would ease some of my anxiety.

Now if you’ve been following this series like a good citizen should you would know that its basically told from a 3 person POV. Cal/Chris and Lauren. I honestly wish Cal had more moments that were in the present versus the past. Although his moments was able to fill in so many blanks, which I find it hard to believe the he’s an alternate. I guess I’m bias #TeamCal .

Ms. Moore does an excellent job keeping me glued to my Kindle which sometimes poses a dilemma when I neglect other priorities. The writing has this flow about it . The drama barely ever stops. The secrets and lies, but let’s not forget the goods. The smexiness of having two men in one.

The only draw back for me was the ending, it didn't  feel authentic, everything was wrapped up in the attractive and done very hastily, for that I feel that it would be greatly appreciated if Ms. Moore writes more and give us another glimpse into this crazy world surrounding Lauren and the man she adores.

Book Review: Clarity (The Seductors, #3.5) by B.L. Wilde

Clarity - B.L. Wilde
Series: The Seductors 3.5
Genre: Romance, EroticaPublished Feb. 20, 2015
Kindle pg: 81

When you find a love worth fighting for, nothing can stand in your way.
Jade Phillips is that love for me, and I’d follow her to the end. I’ll stop at nothing to make her happy, including doing everything in my power to make her mine for eternity.

She is my clarity.

You’ve read Jade’s side of the story, now Oliver gets his turn…

Finally we are granted the opportunity to get inside the head of Mr. Kirkham. I enjoy him so much. He’s brilliant, sexy, and refuses to back down when it comes to the woman he loves ( which increases his sexiness by infinity).

Claritytease2.jpgWhile Clarity is much shorter than any of the parts of The Seductors series, but Ms. Wilde definitely makes up for with all of the sexy and swoon worthy moments.

If you've read any of the rest of the Seductors series, which you should have than I don’t have to go into detail of how awesome not only the story line is, but also the writing. I do hope one the day ms. Wilde decides to give Drew and Georgie a story which I think would be toe curling good.
Counting down the days until I get my hands on Jade and Oliver’s HEA.

About the author

B.L. Wilde is a British author obsessed with many things, including heated love stories and sexy men.

Fully supported by her husband, she can often be found at her desk working on her next project, or looking at eye candy online for research purposes. She is a sucker for happy endings, but will always make her characters work for it.

If you enjoy romance, suspense and erotica, let your imagination run 'Wilde'.

Book Review : Something Real by Lexi Ryan

Reckless & Real #2
Adult Contemporary

After everything blew up on Christmas, Liz walked
away from me, and I let her. She said she needed space and a chance to pursue
her dreams. But we both knew she was running from the mess she made. Now the
political campaign she used as an ex- cuse to leave is bringing us back
together and I’m proving to her what she really needs—not just the hot nights,
greedy hands, and undeniable physical chemistry. What she really needs is
something real. What she really needs…is me.

Reckless and Real #1
Release: December 2014

He talks dirty to me, but I don’t know his

He wants to tie me up, but I don’t know his face.

He turns me on, but I couldn’t point him out in a crowd.

I’ve fallen for an anonymous stranger, and tonight the anonymity ends. Tonight
I want more than typed secrets and texted promises. I want something reckless.
Heat. Passion. The thrill of being entirely possessed.

Because I suspect this anonymous stranger isn’t a stranger at all.

Lizzy Thompson met riverrat69 online through
Something Real, a service promising to deliver meaningful relationships by
forbidding its users to share names or photos until they’ve reached a certain
benchmark. She was looking for love. He was researching an investment. They hit
it off. Talked and flirted, hid behind screen names and cartoon avatars.

Now they’re breaking the rules and meeting in person. But Liz is prepared.
She’s picked up hints and followed clues.

She’s ninety-percent convinced she’s discovered the identity of her
dirty-talking online friend.

She wonders if her ex-lover Sam Bradshaw knows her identity too.

When she rolls the dice on one reckless night, her chance at something real
could crumble.

Ummm I have mixed emotion after finishing the conclusion to Liz and Sam’s story. Part of me feel cheated ( their story felt both rush and too short) the other half gave me this fangirl thrill.

Five months post the cyber affair debacle Liz finds herself living sad and alone working in Indy working on a campaign for Christine Guy, Sabrina's mother. It doesn’t take long for a scanal involoing hers truly Sam to shake her already broken world up.

Sam is going through life angry with everyone for the empty feeling he has inside his parents, Li and himself. Refusing to get past the secrets that have been kept from him, he’s blindsided by secrets of his own.

Considering Something Real has a political theme the blackmail, cover ups and lies was not a major surprise. Lets not  forget the miscommunication, wounded hearts, angst, and  tons of drama. So much drama that there was not much space for these two to develop a real relationship.

The story is told from a dual point of view and of course the writing kept me entertained for hours. If you’re a fan of  New Hope and  broken people with messy situations find their way to love then you’ll definitely enjoy Lexi Ryan’s Something Real.

About the Author

Once a college English professor, I now write full
time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out
with my husband and two kids--a six-year-old boy and
a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly,
reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and
pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I en- joyed before I had children.
When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m
really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out
such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.
