I have one rule: Don’t shit where you eat.

Several of the women in the condo complex I own would love some one-on-one playtime, and why wouldn’t they? I’m young, fit, attractive, and loaded. Not to mention I’m packing a sizable bulge below the belt. It’s a combination that drops panties on a regular basis.

Yay, me, right?

But my cock, troublemaker that he is, has been confined to my trousers by my business partner. A concession I agreed to, and one that’s never been hard to enforce until Emery moves in across the hall. She’s smart, young, determined, and sexy as hell. I want a taste. I won’t stop until I’m buried deep inside the succulent new-in-town brunette.

After being warned about my past, she does her best to steer clear, but I’m about to show her that underneath it all, I’m a guy with a heart of gold and a cock of steel.

My name is Hayden Oliver, and this is my story.

SCREWED is standalone romantic comedy by New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

Kendall has done it again with her latest edition of stories that I now adore. It took me zero time to get started reading this gem once it hit my Kindle.

Not was Screwed entertaining, charming, and it had that irresistible flirtatious factor that gives you continuous butterflies.

One would think Hayden Oliver would already have his hands full being a property investor, but he also has playboy extraordinaire on his resume. After multiple complaints his business partner Hudson informs “don’t sh*t where you eat” meaning he’s no longer allowed to use his property as his personal black book. Being the friend he’s up for the challenge, but no sooner after he agrees walk in his newest tenet Emery Winters.

Emery has relocated from the Midwest to the West Coast to began an internship at a prestigious law firm. After a few failed attempts Emery has sworn to herself to stay clear relationships and devote her time to study for her bar exam. Already forewarned of Hayden’s history with women, which he does even attempt to deny, Emery makes up mind to keep him at arm's length.

What started out as an innocent friendship slowly morphed into something both tried desperately to avoid. While I doubt the attraction these two felt for each other could have been resisted for an extended amount of time, it was pleasant to watch them try.

Screwed is currently a stand alone that I can easily see becoming an amazing series. Hayden and Emery’s story is told with a dual POV, which had me entertained from beginning to end. The writing was amazing, my only complaint would be that I have a serious case of book hangover.
